Texas Parking Services will be providing their Event Parking services to the Burning Can festival in Austin, Texas! On April 23rd, 2016, The Burning Can Festival is bringing outdoor sports, music and delicious canned beer to Austin, Texas.  Are you a fan of relays with beer breaks? Is your bike ride better when fueled by a pilsner? Ready for some fabulous music to pair with your lager? Proceeds from the event benefit the community supporting public charity and non-profit Can’D Aid. Texas Parking Services is proud to be providing Austin event parking management for this highly anticipated festival.

Colorado based Oskar Blues Brewery is bringing the canned beer love to Central Texas. Good beer is always a good choice, but for people with a love for the great outdoors, glass containers just isn’t an option. Oskar Blues led the charge 14 years ago to offer high quality beer in a can, and thankfully many other breweries have followed suit. To share in the portable beer love, Oskar Blues created The Burning Can Festival, which boasts 150+ craft beers in cans, from different breweries from all over the world.

The Burning Can Festival kicks off with a 4-hour long beer relay. Teams of 2-4 people can sign up to run a 5k, looped trail near Decker Lake. The course will have hydration stations and energy bars along the route, as well as an option to guzzle a complementary 12oz Oskar Blues beer just before you start your lap. Bonus- each beer will give you two minutes off your lap time! A delicious way to race. The winning team is the group that runs the most laps in the shortest time. Wanting more beer and less trail blazing? Beer is available for purchase and the event is hosting a blind lager and pilsner tasting.

After the relay, mountain biker Jeff Lenosky of freeriding and world-class trials riding fame will be showing off his skills in several demos during the day. Bass fisherman Matt Massey will be running a casting contest and coaching attendees in the afternoon. Live music starts at 4pm, with local Austin songstress Tameca Jones jump-starting the show, followed by the modern bluegrass musings of the Whiskey Shivers and headlined by alternative country legends, the Drive-By Truckers.

This single day event will be held off Decker Lane at Walter E. Long Park at 6614 Blue Bluff Rd, Austin, TX, 78724. The event parking Austin experts of Texas Parking Services will make your arrival a breeze! Keep an eye out for parking signs when you arrive, to guide you to the designated parking area, and an ear out for information from our fabulous parking attendants. We look forward to seeing you out there.
